LIGA mentors Medical Students when they work with our patients.

Closer to home, LIGA provides an opportunity for American medical students, interns and residents to greatly enhance their medical educational experience.

When our Medical Students visit the interior of Mexico they are exposed to people who have received minimal medical attention and they will see deformities and medical conditions that they might not see at home.

These medical students and doctors are given the opportunity to work with and assist the physician in charge in treating these patients. Many of the villages we visit have only minimal medical care available at best. You can see the delight on the people's faces when we give them a solution to their medical concerns.
